Work experience success

At St Georges we always try to play an active part in the community and often receive requests from the local schools when 15-16 year old schoolchildren are required to take part in work experience, to give them a taste of what to expect when they leave school.

Our latest work experience candidate was Autumn Betteridge (the Great-Grandaughter or one of our residents) who has now completed her week at St Georges.

Autumn joined in with all the activities along with the residents, in her week with us, including the St Georges Day party, nail painting, knit and natter, sing a long and lots of other games.

Autumn wrote a note on her last day for all at St Georges – she wrote ‘Thank you for a great week at St Georges, it has filled me with more confidence and knowledge that I can use later in life, to help me choose my future career. I have enjoyed getting to know everyone and the staff have been very welcoming and encouraging. x

We have enjoyed your company Autumn and good luck in your future, whatever path you decide to take, I’m sure your Great Nanna is very proud of you.
